Well, it took a long time due to spyder being in shop for 18 month out of 44 month of ownership but I finally reached 50000 miles. Spyder is little beat up but it's paid for and runs well after the last engine rebuild.
I just might ride it to the ground instead of buying a new one but I don't know...
i keep hear'n all these HORROR STORIES about things going wrong... ENGINE REBUILD... r u serious...???
i've turned 24K on mine, with ZERO issues.... ok, OK, so i had an alignment issue, so shoot me...
hope you get another 50k....

Had 3 rebuilds...
First one failed at mile 17, second at mile 850. I have 6000 mile after the third and it's probably running better than when it was new. I guess mechanic was learning as he he gained experience...

Where did you get those speakers that wrap around the fairing? Looks like they were custom made for the spyder.

Jl audio makes them. Jl audio makes a lot of pre-formed fiberglass boxes for all kinda vehicles. You can just get the pods/speakers or you can get the subwoofer in the trunk and amp as a set.
I think spyder actually looks better with them from the front however, it does look like a big boom box from the rear.
On a positive note, the Kewl Metal luggage rack I bought from you is working great!
Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...
Nice carbon fiber, I would like to get the filler in front of the hood.
Can you tell me what vender you got them from?
Thanks Bob
They are 3m 1080 vinyl wrap in black carbon.
Hood facia you wanna do is the easy piece to do, no curves.
Watch few videos on YouTube and look on ebay for products(what i did). A vender called metro styling is legit and will sell in all kinda sizes.
I never liked vinyl wrap or other decals but this one looks pretty good.
I've never seen it before but people wrap Porsches and MBs with this stuff so I figured it must not be too bad.
Thank you.
For while, it didn't look like I will ever get this far...
I put 30000 miles on it first year thru some issues than came the big ones...
Next 2 years and so, spyder was in the shop more than in my garage.
