Yellow would make the bike look faster if you're still running it through the static-testing!

Any word yet on your bike?

People are PM'ing me for updates to the RT Sway Bar and I completely understand. I haven't posted because there simply isn't much to say. I've pushed all the necessary buttons and the guy behind the curtain says he's got everything under control. As soon as the machines cough out the product I will be shouting with glee!

Everyone who has given their email address to me will will get a personal notice. I will also post it here.

Waiting is tought, I know. It's like watching the pot for the water to boil.

I've got water in the pot and it's sitting over the flame right now....

Everyone above this post has been added to the waiting list. I have not sent any email updates out yet because, frankly, until the bars are ready to go, why spam everyone with non-news.

I am pretty confident that I will be shipping these out the week of November 12th. I know this isn't the best news around. I'd get them out sooner if I could, believe me.

    Default Sway Bar Testing

Quote Originally Posted by cjackg View Post
I had previously used an Evolucione Anti-swaybar on a 2010 RT, and on my 2012 RT Ltd. I have been using the oem bar for the last few months since the Evo bar was making very little difference in performance. So, I have changed/installed swaybars on RT's several times in the past. My 2012 RT has Elka Stage 1 shocks, and I have SpyderPops Bumpskid installed.

I learned through experience you can change out the bar on an RT without removing the front end (frunk), and I was able to install the prototype bar the same way. I was also able to do the change without removing the Bumpskid, but I think it might be a little easier to go ahead and remove it. The install took a little over an hour. I can go into detail about the install steps later if anyone is interested.

BajaRon's new Anti-Swaybar is definitely beefier and heavier than either the stock bar or an Evo bar, and comes with very nice adjustable collars for locking it in place to prevent lateral movement of the bar (see pic below). The prototype is black but I still have hopes to see some color on the final production bar.
It's an impressive piece of gear!

After I finished the install and got the RT off the stands, I had planned to start road testing but it was beginning to rain. Later I was able to do a short run just to check things but the streets were wet so I didnt have a chance to do any serious testing.
It was apparent from the start that the suspension had a tighter feel and the RT was riding flatter! Good signs to start with!

Today I plan to do some extensive riding on the twisty N. Ga backroads not far from my house, and tomorrow I will be riding down I75 to see my dealer, Extreme Propulsion, near Atlanta.
Details on performance, after these rides...

Please run a test with TWO up!! That is my reason for wanting a beefier bar!!!

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Florida and did a lot of riding two-up while we were there. but, I was not able to do any testing worth talking about for 2 reasons, the main one is that I just dont ride aggressively with my sweet wife on the back who had major back surgery earler this year, and the other is the shortage of twisty roads in Florida.

Guess you will just have to get a bar from Ron and do your own testing. I really think you will be quite pleased.

I'm back from my trip to Kathmandu, Nepal. Riding a motorcycle there is a very interesting proposition. I rode every day for 9 days on a Hero Honda Pleasure 102cc, 7 hp scooter just like the one below. Here is what the advertisement says about this fine machine.

“Why should boys have all the fun" the Hero Honda Pleasure scooter-ette has been unveiled targeting the young lady riders.

    Looks and Styling
Flashy colors and a host of trendy contours in Pleasure appeal to teenaged girls.

Engine Air-Cooled, 4-Stroke single cylinder OHC
    Bore x Stroke 50.0 x 52. mm
    Displacement 102 cc
    Compression Ratio 9.0:1
    Max Power 5.22 kw (7 bhp) @ 7000 rpm
    Max Torque 7.85 Nm @ 5000 rpm
    Max Speed 77 kmph
    Clutch Dry, Automatic Centrifugal Clutch

A bit of a come down from my Spyder and Suzuki M109R but when in Rome... It actually did much better than the 7hp would suggest.

Here is a fair representation of what it is like (not me but similar). The only thing I would say about this video is that the traffic was pretty light compared to most of what I experienced but similar. I probably rode down some of the roads in this video but I was so busy trying to keep from getting killed/run over, that I didn't have time to look around! Though I think I do recognize some of it.

But the main reason for this post is to update the RT Sway Bar project. They were supposed to be finished and delivered to the Powder Coater before I returned. But I think that because I was out of country and not on their back they just put it off. They now promise me that they will deliver to the powder coater early next week. The powder coater says they will turn them around in 1 day (we'll see). So my latest estimate is that I will be shipping these RT sway bars the week of the 26th.

If you are not on the official RT Performance Sway Bar list you can email me at fyredad@hotmail.com and I'll add your name. As soon as these bars are ready to ship I will email everyone on that list individually and also post here on Spyderlovers.

The initial introductory price on the first run will be $199.00 delivered. Hopefully this will make up a bit for the long wait that I have perpetrated on the good people here.
