Default UPDATE - Custom Performance Anti-Sway Bar for the RT

I keep getting questions about the possibility of a Custom Performance Anti-Sway Bar for the RT. And it is official today, there will be one coming as soon as I can get it made.

No delivery date yet as we have to go through the tooling and prototype stages. But since we've already done this once with the RS Bar I'm hoping things will progress more quickly with the RT Bar.

I will post more updates as I get more information.

Now, what color should I make the RT Bar?

Oh sure... the RT guys get to pick the color

That's okay, the red matches the RSS lettering and the bar keeps me smiling

Even if it is or is not visible, BRIGHT RED does make sense as it would also match the SPYDER caliper trim peices that are ALL BRIGHT RED as well

Ford blue is the color we painted out trailer, but I have to go with Scotty, make it subtle and leave them wondering.

Since Elka's are highlighted in red and used by many folks. Why not red for this suspension mod too?

    Another vote for - Red

I think the Elkas are more light the 'Translucent Red'. If you go to match the Elkas, that would be closer.\

Scotty's point actually makes more sense for all Spyder colors, but I would prefer you match the stock suspension color, which might be the 'Satin Black'.

I'm with Scotty on this one. Let's just give it a generic non-denominational color.

Only here can you start a thread about a custom suspension part for a Spyder and end up with a conversation about swaping engines in a car.

I bought a Vega with a blown head gasket. Turned out the block was warped! I fixed it with a hand file!

Took some time and patience but I put a new head gasket on it, ran it for about 10k miles, sold it and the guy that bought it from me drove it another 30k before he sold it. Those were throw away motors.

Ok, if I paint the RT bar Red it will be the same color as the RS bar. I figured the RS guys would be the hot rod's wanting Red. But the RT guys, being more..... Uh.... conservative would want a mellow color for their bar.

Anyone who wants a black bar can paint it themselves if they like. Not that I can't do black, of course, but you won't be able to tell it from stock till you ride it. I know that's the idea but I can see it now. A customer (not you of course) will swap out the bars and put the stock one back on, then complain that my Custom bar sucks!

I was actually thinking of a burnt orange or copper color to set these bars apart but Red, Blue or Black seem to be the predominant color votes so far. Maybe I should start a poll.

I could also do more than 1 color but that will really jack the price up and I'm not sure how much more people will want to pay so they can have a color choice.

Bottom line, I think these are going to impress you no matter what color they end up being.

    How about the Red but with a black line on it. Then we would know the diffrence between the RT and RS bars. Everybody would be happy.{ Well maybe.}

You better make it Candy Orange so when it rusts your customers won't know the difference.

    Default Sway Bar Color

A subtle would be nice I feel it 1 should not be the same color as the RS bar to lower confusion when someone has trouble or the same as Stock so the parts don't get switched..

Default UPDATE - Custom Performance Anti-Sway Bar for the RT

Do it a seperate color so they know which one it is just by looking at it.
