Has anybody installed the baker Rt air system? Any feed back from those that have it would be great.

I put them on my RT. They work! The Spyder was a warmer ride than I was used to and in all but the hottest weather the wings make a difference. They also kept me much warmer this weekend when we rode in cool weather AND they keep me drier in rain. I recommend them.

Looks like it does the same thing. I have a hard time buying that it can make that big a difference in the aim of your lights, but I have never really tested to see what the delta is between all the way down and all the way up.

The fact that it can also inflate tires is intriguing.
I wonder if you screwed an air hose to the valve under the seat and pushed the magic button; would that work as a source of air for ACS ryders?

Default Baker CanAm Spyder RT Air System

Yep, I've got it on my 2011 RT A/C. Works great. Bruce was offering it at Spyderfest but I ran out of time so had him install it at his place later.
    Did I say, Works Great.

I have both the Air Wings and the air ride. Works great. I must have a pin hole leak somewhere in the factory stuff. Pressure would leak down over 3 or 4 days.
He put the system in somewhere, do not remember where, but a long time ago.
The pressure is controlled with a button he puts in the glove box. The main unit is in the trunk. That is a mini air compressor, hooked up all the time. I have unhooked the compressor from it retaining straps and used it several times. Inflacting the Spyder tires and a couple other bike tires, not mine. The cord from the outlet in the trunk to the compresser is about 15 ft or so long.
Good luck, hope this information helps.

    It would be tricky.

I too had the same idea as you, but in order for the ACS to work when the bike is stopped, you have to be in gear with your foot on the brake.

I guess with two people, you could make it happen, but I just gave up on that idea and ordered a small compact air-pump to keep in the trunk instead.

As long as the engine is running the rear air adjusts on my 2012, I don't have to be in gear or foot on the brake.

My 2010 does need to be in gear for the ACS to make magic happen.
It sounds like a great way to run over yourself while airing up the tires!

    What is ACS ????
    ----------------

This appears to be less expensive than the BRP kit.. Which I don't think even has a gauge... ugggg.

Looks kind of like a Slime compressor.......

    Fly,
I've got to admit that what the letters stnad for has escaped me for the moment... It is of course, BRP's onboard suspension adjusting system. You can add it to your A&C if you wish...
The kits are all over EBay; I picked one up for $418 and some change
They say that it's about 3.5 hours to install it; I let the dealer do it and it cost $325... money well-spent!

Harry...that's curious. Wonder if that's just a feature of the 'Limited' ?

Because I must say, it would be a very cool feature to be able to use that on-board compressor to be able to air up when needed.

I know mine, I have to follow the procedure outlined in the MOM to get it to work.

    Adjusting Suspension
    (when Vehicle is Stopped)
Follow the same instructions as for
    ADJUSTING SUSPENSION (WHILE
    RIDING).
    However the following conditions
    must be met:
    – Engine running
    – Brakes applied
    – Parking brake released
    – Gearbox not in neutral.

And thing is, you know they could make that work with just a little change to the firmware. Oh well.

Oh, and I think ACS = Air Controlled Suspension

Thats just what I wanted to hear. I will get it ordered fron Bruce today. Getting tired of having to put air in the shock every week.

If your lights are adjusted when the rear shock is at near minimum inflation, increasing inflation on the fly will cause the headlight beam to lower noticeably.

Okay.... seems to me the Baker setup is better... as it actually has a gauge.... and can double to fill your tires up.

I may try to make my own setup like this... already own a slime compressor.......
