Maintenance Schedule / Warranty
After nosing through the owners manual recently published, I noticed a large number of tasks are recommended to be done by the dealer. There is a column that designates Dealer or Owner doable items, unlike most motorcycle requirements.
How do think this will affect buyers that have bought a good distance from where they live, seeing as the interval on some of these is quite short.
Warranty issues????

Love your avatar. ;D
For me, I've always done my own work. I hate to say it but most dealers will not do as good of a job on your bike as you would. :
41% of the Suzuki dealers can't even check the oil on a 109.

I'm about 11 hours from where I'm buying my Spyder so I don't see anyone doing the work but me anyway.

Re: Maintenance Schedule / Warranty
I agree
Ive always done most of my work too. But in most m/c owners manuals, theres not a column that shows who is supposed to do any particular item, as there is in the Spyder manual.
Wonder how strict they will be on that?

Re: Maintenance Schedule / Warranty
Hopefully keeping receipts and a service log will keep the warranty in effect.
Seems to be that if you have problems on the road though it's.....take it to a dealer.
Not too many official dealers out there yet.
I have 3 shops near me that are potential dealers but none have been approved yet.
