    Default HID 2013 RT-S

Anybody installed HID on there 2013 RT-S ?

Someone at BRP just confirmed that unfortunately Can-Am, due to low demand, decided not to offer the HID option anymore and are not creating a 2013-compatible kit.

I find the low beam on the stock headlight to give poor visibility. I drive with my HI-Beam all the time.

    thanks

The low demand was probably due to the high price. Have you checked out Zenon Depot? They make them for the earlier models

Looks like it's time to start watching EBay for better pricing on them!

I installed the HID's on my 2008. I bought the BRP ones. The price was about 1500.00. They were super bright and lit up the roadway like you wouldn't believe. I was constantly being flashed by others because of the brightness. They were adjusted properly. I had one person do a quick stop in front of me on the road, get out of his car and tried to make an issue over it.

IMO: more trouble and cost than they were worth.

Do we keep the original lens when you guys install a hid kit? I know in a car you have to install a projector lens instead of the reflector housing.

    thanks

The BRP kit uses a whole new lens and housing ,the HID kit from Xenon Depot uses the stock lens and housing and the back cover is modified.

I had the Xenon Depot HIDs on my old RT and they were super bright and I never got flashed by oncoming vehicles.

    Default Seems to me..!!

at some of the prices one should sneak up on them...I don't do allot of night driving but know you can get brighter headlight bulbs without going to hid's. Seems many posts indicate the difficulty installing and opposing drivers responses but I'm sure those with no problems don't post. Hate to be the cause or the victim of a mishap due to too much light. Have had close calls...jmho....

Just did the HID install on a 2012 RT-S. It came from Xenon Depot and with the Spyderlovers pricing, was relatively inexpensive. Not a bad install process, either. We did both the headlights and fog lights for $290. Call X-D and they can help you select the correct bulb. Look for their posting with the promotional discount. I will tell you the difference is incredible.

Side note: You'll want to replace the two fender tip bulbs as well. The yellow just does not go well with the crisp white HIDs. I got LED replacements at Advance Auto for $12.99 each.

The 2013 rts have h9 light bulb. I can't find a brighter replacement halogen light bulb.

To answer gnirtsnod, the fender light in 2013 is very white/blue. I think they would fit nicely with HID 6000K light.
