12000 mi inspection

i did my 12000 mile inspection yesterday and it cost me $516.00. i read some threads and i was going to hold off until after a trip to tx. i'm glad i did'nt. still love my spyder after one year.

OHOH, there is a 12,000 mile inspection???? Dang, I am going on 25,000...flew by 12,000. But I do change my oil and filter every 5,000 and use Royal Purple 10W40 Automotive Synthetic Oil. And I am glad that I do. Best oil going for high RPM engines IMO. Used the oil for 40,000 on our 2008 SE5 and never adjusted the valves and they were within tolerance when the tech checked them before reselling the SE5. Love Royal Purple!

I'm thinking of giving RP a try next time I change and then after it gets to 3K I'll send a sample to the lab to compare with the Amsoil i've been using. Was going to try Valvoline but came across a local supplier yesterday whose prices are comparable.
