It's on my list of things to do bro....... Lemme see what I can do....... been getting tons of requests for this.....
Actually taking a different approach to it this time.....
Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

I would be interested in an updated list too. I would also be interested in a GS/RS vehicle icon instead of that big butted RT one I got now.

Firefly,
I am a pretty good script writer. If someone has a data feed maybe in CSV format and an output format I could probably automate the creation of such a list and thus make it easier to maintain.

Unfortunately it's more involved as each dealer needs to be geolocated and updated, etc......and then exported in the proper format for Garmin to understand....

I doubt it is that current plus it has innacuracies. The two dealers closest to me one did not exist and the other has the right address but the wrong GPS info.

Is there a current list of dealers on BRP website or is there just the dealer locator? I believe I can automate this process if only I had a current list of dealer names, addresses and phone numbers.

Script is done!
I already have the script not as automated as I would like but it is only the first attempt.
I created a new GPX based on data that was in the above linked GPX.
1. GPX Data was converted to a CSV file.
2. My local dealers were remove/added/corrected to the CSV file.
3. The data was then batch geolocated from just the address data then the Longitude and Latitude were added to the CSV file.
4. My script created the gpx file using the CSV as input.
5. I loaded the newly created gpx onto my Garmin Zumo 660 and it does work.
I just need a current dealer list with the following data:
Name, Street, City, State, Zip, Country, Phone

That can work, but accuracy may be a problem.... if your original address has errors, or a dealer moved, etc....... and then depending on what you're using for the geolocation. I use proprietary USPS software to get the address information as close to 100% as possible before doing the geocoding part..... I've used both googlemaps and a stand alone geo program with mixed results from both.
I could handle the address updating and correction part and then let you geocode from there if you want......
Let me see what I can access for dealers right now....
send me your email address.....
Mine is dan@progressiveprinting.net

Agreed Dan, the final GPX is only as good as the raw data. I guess BRP does not publish an all inclusive list?
Lamont,
Can you get an updated current dealer list from your contacts at BRP in text format that includes the above mentioned data?
If you can we can crank out a new GPX.

To answer one of your questions. Geolocation is being done using yahoo maps geolocation API.

They used to publish it in a PDF which I would extract the data from and then reformat it to something that could be worked with.

Mastertek2000, sorry if my post sounded abrupt. Not shooting at you, just commenting, help is ALWAYS appreciated here.
My guess is it is the same list that is already out there that has been recycled.

I supplied a file to Firefly that came from the GPS that came with my 2012 Limited in April.

Dealer list file for garmin 665
I know this has been addressed, but I just added a Garmin 665 to my RT and would love to add a current dealer list to the Garmin. I have the spyder icon on there, but am not sure how to get a current dealer list loaded onto the 655. I have a macintosh, which seems to be fine for using the Garmin, but if a PC is needed to load the list I can access one.
If anyone could provide a current list and detailed instructions as to how to load it onto a Garmin 665 I would be grateful.
Thanks as always to all of the wonderful people on this site. You have made owning my RT much more enjoyable.

I know these posts are a little dated. I was just thinking about doing this. is this list still being maintained?
