No longer stuck in Albuquerque
I am no longer stuck in Albuquerque. My bike sheared the gears on the output shaft from my dealer in Illinois installing my new belt too tight. I was able to ride to Durango on the back of Reggy's bike. Yes, I took a lot of jibes about that, but at least I didn't miss out on a great time at the owners event. I want to tell you that Chaz, the BRP rep., went above and beyond my expectations as far as correcting my difficult situation. He first got me a loaner to ride while in Durango, he got a short block expedited to the dealer in Albuquerque, then he fixed me up with another loaner to ride after the event was over. I would also like to give a Big Thanks to Natasha with BRP customer support. She stayed in touch with both the dealer in Albuquerque making sure they got what they needed, and she also kept me informed as to the progress. Because of both Chaz and Natasha I was able to ride with Reggy and Hector to Colorado for a few days before I headed back to Albuquerque. I can't say enough about how BRP treated me, they were Awesome! I got my bike back Friday at 5:00 P.M. and got on it and rode 21 hours straight, 1315 miles back to Peoria, Il.
That is the longest one day ride for me. The bike rode perfect! Now I can't wait for the next BRP event.I am a very satisfied Spyder owner....!!!!

I felt so bad for you and your situation but I was glad to see what BRP did to try and help out. You're not the only one they did something like that for so it just goes to show you they do care.
It was good to see you again at the Ramada, I had no idea you were still there. You are a wildman riding all that was on a RS in that heat. Must be something about you fire fighters

It really is a shame that the dealer messed up your Spyder. That was some serious dammage. Chaz is a great guy. And it is really great how BRP did all they could to get you a ride for the event as well as get your Spyder fixed right as soon as possible.
Glad we hooked up with you on our way back from CA. That was a surprise for sure.
Pretty good single ride number there too. You did a 1.315 Iron Butt!

Glad you were able to enjoy the trip in spite of the dealer induced damage. I'm thinkin I would have been really, Really, REALLY at them. Glad you arrived back in Peoria safely.

Very glad to hear you are back up and running and the Spyder is doing well. It was good to meet you in Durango. I just want to echo what you said about Chaz and BRP, they all went above and beyond for both of us and I am sure many others. As I said in another thread they towed my Spyder 60 miles, offered me a loaner for as long as I needed it and had me fixed so quickly I ended up giving them back the keys before I had a chqnce to even start it.

Man good thing you are retired ! Sorry you broke down. That was awesome for BRP to step-up to the plate . Good of Reggy to piggy back you into Durango. Nice Iron Butt run .

Who needs a shirt when it's 100 degrees? Let the sunshine on my back! It was fun meeting up with you, see you at the next one.
