Just orderd Ultimate Seat
I just called and ordered the Ultimate Seat with black fuel door. I should get it in 2-3 weeks. Anybody have an installation video that they have done in taking the stock seat off and installing the Ultimate Seat? Sure would be helpful to this visual learner!

Did the same thing yesterday although with the chrome fuel door. Can't wait to ride with my new seat.

If Ultimate put a fuel door in their RS seat, that would tip the scales and I would get off my duff and buy one. I wish they would!
So, I wrote them and asked.. . . . . .

I like the look of the Ultimate RT seat, but I'm still on the fence about their fuel door. For some reason the chrome door looks like it belongs on a car and is out of place on a spyder seat IMO. Maybe the black fuel door looks better because it might be more camouflaged.
I'm looking forward to seeing a photo with the black fuel door to get an idea of how it looks. Let us know how you like it. If I buy one of the Ultimate Seats, I'd have to get it without the fuel door unless the black fuel door looks ok.

This was posted on another site for sure and maybe also this one? I hope the manufacturers of these fuel doors or seats with fuel doors are including some sort of a warning?
Probably not the best idea to refuel while a passenger is on the seat or something precious...........like Teddy! Sometimes things are designed in a manner in which to protect the portion of the population that just can't protect themselves?
Fuel door is especially handy for those that have something strapped to the seat though that is not made of flesh and breathes?

I saw a picture of the black one somewhere (?) it blends in rather than standout, you might like it?

Got the answer to my question of whether the RS Ultimate Seat would ever have a fuel door or if one could be place in a seat as an option. The RS seat pan is not strong enough in that area to support a fuel door. So, no fuel door in the RS seat as presently using the stock seat pan.
I'm disappointed. But, understand completely. I think a new seat is in my future eventually. Just have to convince the other half it's worth the expense.

When I was shopping for my RT I saw a beauty RS in red with a Corbin with twin backrests and all heated up. It looked awesome with matching red stitching and spyders and all.
