Default Run For The Wall ~ 2012

I took these this afternoon as the Run For The Wall headed towards Junction City, KS. I was standing on an overpass as they traveled on I 70. What an awesome sight to see!
They will spend the night in Junction City & head out tomorrow morning. Just curious if the Spyder Ryder is a member of Spyder Lovers.

Just got back from welcoming Run for the Wall riders into Wentzville. There were 2 Spyders with them. Unbelievable how many bikes there are this year. Wentzville had a great welcoming for them.

One of the proudest moments I've had as a long time Southern Cruisers Riding Club member is the volunter work the former Caddo Trial chapter did annually in assiting the riders on the Ride For The Wall trip to D.C. Longview was always on one of the routes that was followed in getting riders to the Wall for Memorial Day activities. We helped feed them lunch and provided escort services on the way in and the way out. Very inspiring to see and hear veterans on the ride talk about their miltary service. The below link provides a Longview News-Journal article on this year's effort. Thought some of you might be interested.

Leaving at 6AM on Thursday morning and not returning until the following Tuesday evening. We are taking 2 days to get there and then 2 days back. We are stayiing at a Holiday Inn in Washington.......I think that everything has been booked solid for months, kind of like Spyderfest.

Sent email re Temporary Military lodging. Wondered if you have a newer book about that. The one I have froma friend is from1978. This particular thread disappeared on me yesterday and late last nite. At least I didn't see it. Soo Could I follow you and then try to get into one of the military bases for lodging?? Will work on the numbers that are in this book and hope they are still viable. If not... have a great trip!!
