 TourMaster mesh jackets
Hi Guys,
Just a quick write-up on the TourMaster mesh jackets that the Missus and I just purchased. I know that we've got a couple of real fantastic sponsors in here who also sell riding gear and I don't want to step on their toes,  but here goes...
Our Speed & Strength jackets were starting to get a bit too warm for the midday sun, so a viable option was needed. The Missus is kind of funny about styling, and they had to match, so she spent a lot of time yelling "No!" as I showed her the choices...
I've always been a big fan of TourMaster rainsuits, so when we found their Intake mesh jackets;things got interesting...
After fighting over colors and sizes, an order was place with Dennis Kirk for them...
They arrive and the box is HUGE! I pull the jackets out, thinking: "This is a mesh jacket??  "
The weighed about as much as my Hein Gerrike Paris-Dakar, and that feels as if it's still got the cow attached to its underbelly!
However, these beauties are acutally a mesh jacket with an insulating liiner and a water-resistant shell! pretty near 3 jackets in one! 
I could see a situation where you could head out in the cool morning air with the liner in place, pull it out as the sun gains some momentum, and keep the shell around for the rainshower that threatens to cut the ride short!

NO...

I have the same but, in Blue. Love the versatility of the jacket. It does take a couple of times of install and removal of the liners to get the hang of it, but you will not be disappointed. You really do not (IMHO) need the 3rd liner unless it's below 40/45 or you will be very very warm. Good Choice Bob

Today was 69 degrees and overcast... The jackets are about like wearing a screen door; the air really does come right on through! They don't seem to restrict movements at all and were very comfortable...
69 degrees are you kidding!!!
Let me know how they are when it hits 90 then it might heighten my interest.

Have First Gear which is similar in design and have been in it and pants all day at or above 100 (+7) degrees, in both humid (LA, & TX) and very dry air conditions (AZ, & CA). As you know there's nothing fun about riding in that kind of heat. On the plus side you're in protective gear. Just drink lots of fluid and be prepared to wash some salt soaked gear at the end of your trip.

Toasted in Tucson
It was 107 degrees yesterday here in Tucson. Not sure how you wear something that heavy in this climate without getting a heat stroke. Are you wearing a cooling vest underneath? When having to stop for red lights in this heat, you can feel it literally radiate up from the pavement. It's not gonna cool down here until October, so let me know how you do this jacket without baking!

If you are in the sun, a mesh jacket is actually cooler than a t-shirt or even a high-performance jersey. It keeps the sun off and lets the air pass. It also lets the sweat and accumulated heat out. Until you try one in a hot climate, they seem like a contradiction...but they work very effectively.

I most assuredly is!! Even covers your MDR for one of the major food groups....if you eat enough!

My wife and I have the same jackets and really like the versatility as well, along with the ease of care.
