    Cool $978 today

Fortunately, out of BRP's pocket. My 2010 RT A/C burned up the stator last week @ 10,500 miles. Apparently, that crispy-fried the battery. So, 8 days later I have a new stator and battery @ $556 (parts only). Also found a coolant leak and took care of that. Last week it was a new rear tire for $220. Now waiting for brake parts for the latest recall. In the meantime, I'm trying to decide what to do about front tires that are wearing on the inside shoulders from an alignment problem.
What was that old saying about raining and pouring??? I've been arguing with myself about the need for an extended warranty. Argument over....

We were offered the extended warranty when we bought our 2010 (July 3rd, 2010) If we buy that warranty now, are we penalized for waiting so long??

Yes, it cost more if you waited past a certain amount of time. I forget what the time period is.

Remebered reading this, and somewhere else here, I read where someone signed up late and the late sign up fee was waived. Probalbly find that post with a BEST search. Hope this helps.

Default Buy before factory warranty expires

I just added the 3 year BEST about 3 weeks ago just before my 2 year factory warranty ran out. No late fee surcharge; priced it at 3 different dealers and took the lowest cost one. The key thing to remember is you have to purchase it before your 2 yr. factory warranty expires.

    Thanks Punji!
Since I've been having throttle body issues, this is looking like something to investigate a bit more thoroughly...

Can't buy it in Florida, but you can buy from a dealer outside of Florida and from what I have read most of the Florida dealers honor the warranty.

After researching this site, I purchased an additional 3 years warranty and 3 years maintenance for my 2012 RT Limited the day I bought it. Just not worth the risk involved without it...
