Default Soon to be a 2 Spyder Family!

Well, bit the bullet and we are now a 2 Spyder family... received this photo from the dealer this evening. A nice new 2012 RS is waiting for me up at Caswell's...going to get it before we go on our first official ride of the season! Not to mention before Spyderfest too! This is going to be a great riding season...I don't have to steal Butch's spyder to get my fix any more. He says he is going to have to give ME a "honey do list" and check off a task before going for a ride! We'll see about that...

Thanks, CyncySpyder, I agree it's pretty sweet, was thinking of painting it, but now I think I'll leave it all black for awhile.

I'm switching out the windshield for the first touring one (Butch still has it) and that's about it until I get to the vendors village, then we'll see what I can find!

This two family Spyder thing is really catching on. I think I need to buy another even though I'm single. I just hate to be out of the loop. I have a two Family Special on Seal FloorBoards. PM me for more details. See ya at SpyderFest.

    Ride in comfort,

Welcome to the the 2- his, yours. this is how we do ours. He has the RT and I have the RS and wouldn't trade a thing. Now you can go on the ladies ride and you don't have to steel the RT to go . Hopefully we meet you in Cuba, Carol and John

Thanks for all the well wishes...I am so excited I don't think I am going to be able to sleep tonight!!!! And of course the forecast is for crappy weather tomorrow...maybe even some snow! That is not going to stop me from picking it up at all! Then we have to wait until Wednesday to leave for Spyderfest That is going to be the longest 2 1/2 days of work ever!

Yesterday was quite an adventure! We headed up to Caswell Cycle in Mora, MN at 8:30am to pick up my new Spyder before our first Minnesota Spyderlovers ride of the season. We had a few sprinkles on the way up and it was a chilly 39* but it was early and we were dressed for it. As we pulled into their parking lot there it was parked right by the front doors on display!! I practically jumped off Butch's spyder and hopped on my shiny black new one...Les popped his head out the door and said, "Hey lady, you can't sit on that...it's sold!" and I said, "I sure hope so!!" Got right down to business and signed the papers, handed over the money, and got my owners packet...all done with a huge smile, I just could quit.

We then stood around drinking coffee and eating cookies (shaped like motorcycles) waiting for others to show up for our ride...no one else was brave (or foolish) enough to come (and most of our regulars were out of state) with the lovely weather that was heading our way. So Les (on a green RSS) and Kaye (on lava brown RT), Butch (on death machine) and myself (on my new black RS) took off anyways to have lunch up on Lake Mille Lacs at Kaye's brother's place. Great food and great visiting then parted ways with the Caswells and continued on with our adventure to deliver Seth's spyder to Longville.

What a break in ride for me! I've now got 311.7 miles on it in all different types of wet conditions...sprinkles, rain, downpour, mist, even a few snowflake! with gale force crosswinds blowing off Lake Mille Lacs! That new spyder handled everything Mother Nature threw at us wonderfully, so very happy I was on 3 instead of 2 yesterday!

Left Seth's spyder in Longville to get picked up a little later in the day and returned 2 up on my spyder to Mora around 8pm. Picked up Butch's spyder and rode home...still raining now getting colder....arrived around 9pm...jumped in a nice hot bath...ate a very late supper and never quit smiling.

Now, we have to dry everything out and start packing for Spyderfest...it's gonna be a very long 2 1/2 days of work!!!!
