Ron...When ordering how do you distinguish between the tapered fit versus the boxed that they talk about in the video?

The cut is determined by the model. The Rush Mesh is a box cut so you can't order this jacket in a tapered version. You'd have to go to a differnet model jacket to get that.
Box cut means the jacket has less taper from the chest to the bottom of the jacket giving more room in the belly area. It's also called a relaxed fit. A tapered cut jacket is more form fitting from the chest down. Typically men's jackets have less taper than a women's jacket anyway.
Tapered is designed for more slim/trim riders.
Hope this answers your question.

Getting it right the 1st time is the best way to go. I have no problem exchanging but you pay for shipping which we would both like to avoid.

Order sent. Looked at a Tourmaster mesh jacket yesterday. They wanted $200.00. Glad I waited now.

I never know when these sales will hit. I think you're going to pleased with the Rush Mesh jacket. As always, I'm interested in what you think of the product, good or bad so I can be more help to the next guy when they ask.

Are these jackets worth the extra cost above the speed and strength mesh jackets you had on here the other day? What would make for the higher price?

That is a good question and one that I do not have a good answer for. I have not had the opportunity to compare these jackets physically side by side. Retail on the Firstgear Rush Mesh is about $50 higher than for the Speed & Strength. They are both great jackets. I believe the Rush has more features and most likely a bit better construction.
I know that customers have been very happy with both.

Yes, I ship anywhere in the world. Shipping cost is the issue with something like this. It would cost about $50 to Australia.

Question abt sizing:
My jacket size is 46, that translates to an XL on FG chart (I have a XL Daren lt. jacket that fits fine). My wife doesn't like the tailored cut of the Contour and I'd like them to match anyway. She would take a women's XL, how does that translate to the Rush men's sizing? Any idea? I'm thinking L?
Thanks

Jackets definitly can fit differently depending on several factors, not the least of which it is not uncommon to get jackets that are just plain sized wrong.
The Rush fits pretty true to size. In other words, if you normally wear an XL jacket then that is the size I would recommend ordering. The Rush fits pretty close to the firstgear size chart (which is not true for all of their gear, nor is is true for everything any other manufacturer makes either).
The Contour is shaped somewhat. The Mesh-Tex woman's jacket is the least tappered of all the women's jackets and the men's box cut jackets are even more forgiving yet.
Men's jackets tend to have a bit wider shoulders, longer arms and a longer torso portion. But many ladies are just fine with a men's jacket so it certainly can work.
I also have the Speed & Strength jackets that some ladies are wearing. Most women have an idea of how men's jackets fit them.
Rule of thumb is that a woman's jacket will run 1 size smaller than a man's in the same size. So and XL woman's jacket would be a size Large in a men's jacket so I think you're in the ballpark with both jackets.

I got home from lunch abt an hour ago and the jackets were on the porch. Very fast delivery! Jackets are excellent as expected. My XL fits perfectly. My wife won't be home until later this evening for her fitting but I expect the same result.
