After I had mine painted, from the original stock yellow & black, fewer bees do happen to stop by. I'm guessing the yellow makes them think its some kinda flower, only to disapoint.

Yellow attracts bees. I learned this from my days of working construction and wearing bright yellow shirts and driving a yellow truck for safety reasons. A pain some times but safety was more important.

All the ladies are attracted to the yellow RS Spyder. Why would female bees be any different ????

Randy, I think the only female bee in the colony is the Queen......It's one of those thing that if I'm right I don't know why I know that. The stuff that fills our heads.

Sorry folks, all the honey bees are ladys except for the Drones and they dont go flying around much. The drones only have one thing to do and thats just once, pretty much a sucide mission. As usual the ladys rule.

I have a yellow Spyder and do not have this problem. I'm thinking it must be the wax or polish you are using on your Spyder. I use Plexus on the windshield and Original Bike Spirits on the body of the Spyder. I'm terrified of bees!! So, glad this is not happening to me!!!

Bright flower like colors attract bees, and it also might be that the waxes are an attractant.

They were landing on my yellow an black car too. Almond blossoms are in full swing and the honey bees are everywhere.... Which leads to some road carnage as they seem to splat often.

I use Meguiars ultimate quick wax on both... So maybe it's both the color and the wax.
