Going to be trying to open a SRA (Spyder Riders of America) chapter in Modesto. They have a 5 bike minimum. I know a couple others. Once we have the numbers, I'll submit the app. They have a dozen other chapters an are responsible for the annual "Spyder in the Redwoods" run and others to the coast...

Manteca. Wrinkle Ranch just north of Manteca. Some people call it Del Webb Woodbridge.

Oakley, CA here. My husband told me that he saw 2 Spyders within 10 minutes yesterday in the Tracy area. Modesto is a little bit of a drive for me but I commute further than that for work.

Do you commute on the spyder or a car? I'm just trying to tie together those riders within a comfortable distance of each other. The SRA meets in Livermore every 3rd month I think. Aside from that they have group rides. Each chapter would have access to each other for quickie rides etc
From what I have read, those meeting aren't mandatory, but the 20$ yearly fee and release of liability is. You get 15% off at some can am dealers, etc

Yes, I have been using my spyder for my daily commute. My poor Jeep hasn't seen any action since I bought my spyder 2 weeks ago.
We belong to a meetup group that has one other person who owns a spyder. I haven't met him yet, but I am sure we will eventually meet on one of the rides. This group has many different types of riders. The cool thing is that they are VERY active and have a ride planned almost every weekend. I would be interested in joining a group with spyder owners but meeting once a quarter seems like you would hardly ever get together with other riders, or did you mean on the 3rd week of every month?
I bought my spyder in Livermore, so I am guessing I will find out when they have local rides?

I'm sorry if I didnt clarify. The quarterly meets are probably designed for a host of issues. Each chapter can organize as it sees fit. I'm sure people also call each other if no ride is planned.
I agree. A wide variance of folks. Some work nights, some days, some weekends off, others work a rotating set (like me... 6 on, 3 off) and so forth.
In addition, I've read that SRA will plan other runs for all throughout the year... Besides the redwood run.
It's all on the website

There are two SRA chapters in Northern California, the Bay Area (www.srasanfrancisco.com) and Sacramento (www.srasacramento.com). We occasionally do rides in the foothills as does the Sacramento group. I am the President of the Bay Area chapter and I live in Concord. I would love to ride with you all. We are planning a ride leaving from the Oakley McD's on Highway 4 near 160 at 9AM this Saturday (May 26th) up to Red Hawk Casino. It's not a SRA group sponsored ride, just a few of us getting together to ride. You are all welcome to join.
Hope to see you there and/or at future events including SPYDERS IN THE REDWOODS (www.spydersintheredwoods.com)!!!
There are a couple Spyder riders in Oakley and Brentwood, three in Pittsburg, four in Concord, a few in Walnut Creek.... etc...etc....

SRA Sacramento
Most of our rides are posted on Facebook and everyone is welcome to join our group. Search for Spyder Ryder of America - Sacramento Chapter and request to be added to the group - one of our officers will add you. The Sacramento Chapter has meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month, 6:30pm at Perko's Restaurant on Micron Ave (off of Hwy 50 and Bradshaw Rd). We also combine rides with the SF Chapter when we can.
Katlyn, I'm bummed that I won't be able to meet you all on Saturday - Red Hawk is where we go at least once a month for our Blackjack and Pai Gow fix. My step daughter is graduating from high school on Saturday so I'll be tied up most of the day. You all have a great ride - should be wonderful weather - and be safe!

We think we are lonely way up here in Humboldt County. We've heard of two others in our area but haven't seen them but one at a time. We have two white ones and go riding together until we find others. Several friends have Harley's and may ride with us soon...weather permitting. Can't wait until Spring.
