I put the Gen 3 on my 08, They Stopped the squeal, and stopped the Spyder just fine

I realy don't know much about the EBC, Someone else will probably have more info on them.

The Gen 3 also stopped the squeal for me well worth the money to replace the original pads.

I just replaced my original 08 pads not because they were shot, but because they were squealing so bad. They still looked almost new with 14k miles on them. The generation 3 pads cured the squeal, but we are still waiting for the new EBC pads reviews to come in. Until the reviews come in from BAJA's people, I would stick with the generation 3 pads.

    Default Pads

Do you have to take the pads off to see which ones are actually on the spyder?

Look at the brake backs: gold=2nd gen, black=3rd gen.

Doesn't work for long. That was tried by many here.

The GEN 3 pads however don't help the squeal in reverse.
