Digital Voltmeter w/analog style led readout
I've been looking for weeks for a very exact style voltmeter to replace my gas gauge. And I finally found one!
http://www.amazon.com/Xtune-Digital-.../dp/B005JGLHF2
and get this... its made by Spyder Auto! This is a good sign!
I guess I just need to confirm that 52mm is the correct size?
As far as installation what? Just run a pair of wires from my switched fuse block?

Voltmeter
I replaced my gauges with Cyberdyne from Summitt. OK, with several lens to change the color, in case you're a moody person. I looked at your Amazon choice and it looks super. I wonder if it's made of lead or granite? Shipping weight is 5 lbs!! Pretty heavy for a voltmeter.

This is a 52 mm (2 inch diameter) unit and will fit your dash pod fine. Rather than running wires from your fuse block, I would suggest you simply tap into the existing wiring that you disconnected from either your fuel or engine temp gauge. (Orange is positive and black negative if I remember correctly) I have run this configuration for the past two years without issue.
When installing I put a bead of silicone around the gauge to aid in sealing the unit against the elements and to ensure that it adhered firmly in the dash pod hole.
The gauges are not certified waterproof, and after many hours of getting soaked with rain and while washing the bike, I have never had an issue with water seeping into the gauge.

I installed a marine grade voltmeter - Faria: http://www.boatersland.com/far-12821...FUcHRQodhEZfdw It ties in nicely with the stock gauges.

I used the existing power supply that went to the temp gauge - orange is positive, black is negative. You may need to tap into both of the orange wires if your gauge has a separate connection for the gauge light - mine did. By tapping into the existing lines, your gauge will shutdown when the bike does without putting a drain on the battery.

Found an identical looking meter. Looks identical, just rebranded, and at nearly half the price! Shipping still silly. but $49+$15 shipping is better than $80+$13 shipping
