Since the Spyder you are showing is not a 08 body kit, front rims, and seat cover I'm sure it was taken care of and the recalls done.

It's easy to tell if they have been done or not.
    1. Get vin number
    2. call dealer

That matte black is called a phantom body kit. Those were not sold in 08. That Spyder used to be a different color. It's a good thing for you. It has fog lights and it looks like LED turn signals as well. It's a nice Spyder.

Just double check the vin number with a BRP dealer yourself. from the looks of the bikes in the background this is not a CAN AM dealer so double check vin yourself.

Alot of people changed the panels and the wheels so don't get nervous. If it is indeed a 08 who ever owned it probably upgraded all that stuff.

I have no clue how to tell if it been wrecked, but others on here might be able to help you with that question.

Looks like a nice . The funny seat looks like the BRP comfort seat. I put one on a 2009 and we liked it a lot compared to the stock seat.

I had a 2008 and put 23,000 miles on it before trading it on my 2010 RTS. Other than the dps replacement, I had zero problems with my 2008 SM5.

The main thing you should check is if the 2nd steering recall (DPS replacement) was completed. The dealer probably checked to see if any outstanding warranty bulletins or recalls applied to that serial number, but ask him if he can provide a list of what was previously done.

The seat is actually the stock seat with a seat skin. I have one on my Spyder as you can see in my signature photo.

It is soon to be replaced by the comfort seat.
