So why are you wondering about the price. If yours is bad, it's called "warranty" replacement!

MSRP is $799.99, without the lens. If you are thinking of upgrading an earlier model, be aware that programming differences may make the 2012 "multifunction speedometer" incompatible.

That is the official name for the 2012 cluster.

I was thinking upgrade for my 2011 RTS but at that price I will muddle through the disapointment of having a perfectly working 9 month old cluster The pocket book wins this fight, but I have a spyder so suck it pocket book!

I haven't seen the 2012 cluster yet is it a lot better than the older models? Mine didn't bother me until I unplugged the analog gauges and then the lack of contrast became obvious to me. But at that high price I'll have to wait until I wear out the 2010.

2017 F3T-SM6 Squared Away Mirror Wedgies & Alignment
    2014 RTS-SM6 123,600 miles Sold 11/2017

    2011 RTS-SM5 5,000 miles
2013 RTS-SM5 burned up with 13,200 miles in 13 weeks
    2010 RTS-SM5 59,148 miles
    2010 RT- 622

With all the miles you logged last year wearing out your 2010 will happen sooner than later!

Like I said, be careful if you are contemplating this "upgrade". There are definite software clashes between the 2010 and 2012 clusters, and there may well be some between the 2011 and 2012. The components of the Spyder must be able to talk to each other, so a cluster that doesn't "understand" the other modules could render your Spyder inoperable. If you decide to take the plunge, be sure you can return the new cluster if it doesn't work right...and hang on to your old cluster. It could be an expensive mistake, otherwise. In my opinion the new color display is not any great improvement. I like the old version just fine.

For that price, I'd put some carbon fiber around it and replace the fuel/temp gauges with an volt meter and oil pressure gauges (if my dogs stop getting sick sometime... vet is making a good living on us alone!!)
