    Default Light Blue Tint for RT Wind Deflectors

    The clear plastic wind deflectors under your RT windshield, and beneath your mirrors, can be tinted to a light blue colour based on the following recipe:
    1. Remove wind deflectors you wish to tint;
    2. Clean the plastic with warm water and mild dish detergent;
    3. Sprinkle a healthy quantity (25 grams or so) of Black Fabric Dye (commonly used to dye fabrics in a washing machine or basin) and add a few drops of dish detergent to a pot of boiling water large enough to submerge the deflectors you wish to tint;
    4. Fully submerse the plastic in the boiling solution for approximately 30 minutes;
    5. Remove the plastic from the solution and rinse in warm water to remove any excess dye from the surface.
    That's it. Your clear deflectors will have absorbed the dye and will have taken on a blue tint. If you are looking for a lighter or darker tint just play with your process time.

    You may ask yourself why a black dye produces a blue tint during this process? The simple answer is ???? I have my theories, but without knowing the chemical elements of the dye I would merely be guessing.
