IMO... I rather spend the less than $10.00 on something that is 50/50 than thousands in damages, not including injuries. And now that the elephants have popped on ths thread, I have a joke (but it has a moral into it):
A guy is walking down the street and sees this dude coming the opposite direction banging two sticks together. The guy stops the dude with the sticks and asks him what in the heck is he doing...
Dude replies "This is an elephant scaring system! It keeps the elephants away!"
The guy thinks the dude is crazy... so he wants to play him and says: "well, does it work?"
Dude goes "You don't see any elelphants, do you?!?!"

Deer Shistle
I used the electronic alarm on my goldwing from 2001 to 2011 when the spyder came on the scene. If it worked or not, I can not say. I did not hit a deer in this time. Of course I did not hit an elephant, zebra, tiger, or lion either. It was just a little peace of mind. I have not installed it on the Spyder yet
Noticed too late that shistle should be Whistle
