Here is great deal on Spyder sway bars. They have listings for both RS and RT models.

When I bought my evo sway bar earlier this year there was discussion of members having fit problems on the RS; can't remember if it was 2010 or 2011 models or both. Someone then called the owner of evoluzione and was told they were making a change.
Just something to think about.

The sway bar on Ebay is the same Evolution sway bar that everybody's been buying...$80 cheaper is one hell of a deal.

Yes, that is a very good price but take a look at this recent discussion about using the Evo Swaybar on RTs and possible stress on the link ends. I plan to check mine over soon for any signs of a problem...

Sway bar for RT-S
I ordered one of these this morning. Now I read the information that others have had problems. eBay seller states no returns. Are there any options for mounting that would make this bar work for my RT? Can't afford the Elkas as just bought a new home. Any help or suggestions or did I just waste $150?

I have had the Evo Swaybar in use on my RT for over 5000 mi without problems and it definitely reduced the sway in the curves a bunch. But, I noticed when I installed it the connector links dont seem to have as much play as the original bar so I have to wonder if they might be subject to a lot more stress in an extreme handling situation. After reading the recent comments I plan to check mine regularly but have no plans to remove it as long as it looks ok.

Just emailed E-zone a few days ago about the absence of Spyder stuff. They said they are working on their Spyder page. They also said they have some of the bars left and gave me a price. Not sure if they are getting out of the Spyder business or not, but they said they page would be back.

RS owner here, there definitely appeared to be a spate of slightly different sway bars for a while there. I had no trouble getting mine to fit with a certain technique, but others using that identical technique couldn't get theirs to fit.
Anyway, *I* was VERY happy with the purchase, the sway bar delivered a significant, albeit not dramatic, improvement in cornering.

so, is the ebay one the proper one for the RS and is there any risk of problems with it? Easy install for this or is the one on ebay a counterfeit/2nd/etc....?

The description states it is made by Evoluzione Cyclesports and specifically states that it is new and unused and never before mounted. It may be a factory second but it does not state so specifically. The seller has an 100% approval rating and rave reviews for product quality and service. He can be contacted via email for any questions.
Evoluzione is the only known maker of aftermarket performance sway bars for the Spyder. The ebay seller sells the RS (part # 98061 & 98062) and RT (part #98063) models. The RS version is available in red (part #98062) or black (part #98061). The part numbers listed in the ebay descriptions match the proper models previously sold by Evoluzione. As of this posting there were 11 more available for the RS and 10 for the RT.
People who have installed the Evoluzione sway bars on the RS generally report here that the install is easy with no or minor issues and that the performance is very good to excellent. People who have installed Evoluzione sway bars on the RT generally report here that the install is fairly easy but with some potentially serious issues that may cause problems. The sway bar performance on the RT was not generally reported as favorable as with the RS.
I purchased one from the ebay listing for an RS and it is due for arrival soon. I will report back on it as soon as it arrives.
Here is a photo of the RS model from the listing:

New bar arrived
Ordered one for my RT-S on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. Only read the install directions. Looks stright forward but lots of Tupperware to remove first. My question is it necessary to remove everything or are there some shortcuts? Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks

I have seen some posts about replacing the swaybar on an RT without removing the Frunk, but if any other maint on the front end is planned, removal may be the best approach. Try some searches, using Google!

I removed the trunk when I put the Evo on my 09 RS But I also Greased the fittings much easier this way. The bolt on the right rubber mount became a little loose after about a month and when I would turn left I would hear a Click underneath. Tightened bolt -problem solved. At that price on the GS/RS its the best mod I made until I Just got my ELKA shocks!!

This thread has some good tips to install the sway bar on a GS/RS, if you need them:

I put one on my 2009 RS and man what a difference, it would corner like it was on rails . Put one on my RTS and man what a bust. I couldn't tell any difference at all and I paid full pop 230 bucks.

My '09 SM5 is kinda squirrely in the tighter corners....I'm really looking for that 'like it's on rails' feel! What kind did you install, Evo, the eBay one...?
'09 SM5, Hindle pipe, K&N, sport rack, backrest, Givi shield EVO swaybar, Symtec grip heaters, Spyderpops belt guard....some other stuff.

They're both the same, apparently the ones on eBay were a stock sell out from Evo or one of it's distributors. There's no more left on eBay for the RS, nothing on EVO's site, and now there doesn't even appear to be any on Custom Dynamics's site. I may be wrong but it looks like they're all sold out everywhere.
This may be the end for Evo Can-am RS Sway Bars.
Anyone know of any place left to get an Evo RS swaybar?

Boogers!!
Maybe they'll do another run....wonder why they shut it down?

They stopped making them....I was advised to pretty much not get one...but hey, whatever...I find the RT shocks on the RS to make a pretty darn big change anyway...

One of the best mods I've ever done to my Spyder. Totally changed the way it handles and the way I can ride it. Shocks helped but they were icing on the sway bar cake.
As far as 'No Returns', the seller can say that all they want but if the product doesn't live up to claims made in the listing description (like if it doesn't fit, etc.) then you get your money back (unless the seller is a crook, folds his tent and runs off with the money). Even then, if you use Paypal, you're almost always covered anyway.
If you use a credit card through Paypal you have yet another layer of protection if Paypal doesn't satisfy. The only fly in the ointment is that you will have to pay return shipping.
