    Default Well We're making Progress...

I stopped at the Dealership today to drop off the settlement check and they had my new frame sitting in the showroom...
They've got oodles of new parts and expect to get cracking on it next week...
So now I'm getting myself a bit jumpy...

I think that I'll leave the fixing to the experts and do my imitation of the kids in "A Christmas Story", with their noses pressed to the glass salivating at all of the goodies in the store window...

We each must stick to what we do best, and know our limitations....

I don't have to know my limitations... My Missus reminds me of ALL of them at every opportunity!
But you are of course 100% correct... Don't try flying a jet if you're built for the ground!

They had a whole day to work on it now, is it done yet?

I am glad to hear it will be getting fixed, and sorry you won't really get to test it for quite a while. Although you could always try trailering it to a warmer climate to test it out sooner.
    Very Happy Spyder Ryder!

My Missus could regale you hours of stories of "Adventures in Backing Up with Trailers" from my Library of boneheaded attempts...
(Let's just say that my snowmobiling days have left a mark...)
I think I'll call the shop on Wedensday just so they don't forget me...

Is the snow any worse in New York than it is in Minnesota? Perhaps you could get SethO to come stay at your place a bit and test ryde it for you.

They get REAL snow... We just get...
    SethO re-breaking in my bike???
I'd let him ride it... But I'd probably have to beat him with a shock to make him let go of the bars!

If I'm understanding you correctly, no way we had 15 feet of snow before Christmas in NY. We barely had enough snow in mid december to go snowmobiling.

Although last year was a good year for snowmobileing and were I live it came here before up in the snowbelt, lake effect region and stayed most all winter, you must of been standing under a snow making machine.

    Ron,
You know; If you bug Tom a bit for the old frame It might help speed things up a bit...
That new frame actually looked pretty impressive; but empty!

NYC had 15 inches right before Christmas last year. Glad we were on Christmas Break already!

As I said, "THE last winter I was in New York" President Kennedy declared it a "snow disaster area", at least the area around Watertown.

Hang in there Bob. Good things come to those who wait. Snow patterns are getting crazy. You will probably end up with more than MN this year. The forcast for most of MN, this week, is in the 50's. Way back when it was 40 below zero, and we had to walk to school in 3 feet of snow--that was a different time. My relatives still living there don't think it is too bad currently.

Even the weather channel and NBS news was blaming the weather patterns on global warming trends.

I snowmobiled in Tug Hill 3 times, and will NEVER go back...You put your life in great danger ryding there. To many bars for the Tucker Hibbert wantabees to consume liquid courage and ride like idiots. And the only times Ive been there has been mid week. Cant imagine the weekends
