After I read Scotty's post and looked at the picture more closely I thought that sure does look like a tie ....I went out and tore apart my "throttle box" and sure enough ....But what I don't understand is when we first found the "knob" it had grooves (for lack of a better word) on it (like what is on the END of the zip tie) and I SWEAR that it rolled(or moved) back and forth. We just put it all back together and I asked the question on here and well..ya'll know the rest. Before we took the picture we messed with it some more and rolled it around and I guess we inadvertadly "tightened" it up because it won't budge now and the grooves are gone So I guess the mystery is solved ...... next.........I think Ron needs to take the stage.........

Don't touch it! It's the ejection seat firing mechanism. Your Spyder must have been made for a upcoming Bond movie.

Does everyone realize that this thread has had over 2,000 hits! Just think how many hits we could get if this thread actually had a purpose!

Dunno. I suppose a piecost is about the same as a henway?

    Hey Ron
Read post 31 again. Read it out loud and really as fast as you can.

Really sorry I got into this post so late. It was very productive for me. I needed a laugh!

Yes, Arntufun enlightened me. I appreciated the effort but was sorry I asked.

So, now this thread has been deemed 'Productive'! What is our world coming too?

    Default To Summarize......................

Wow….what a great post this has been! It’s incredible what one can learn from a single post on this web-site! I think we should give our sincere thanks to Bumblebee67…first for coming up with such an incredibly difficult issue that stumped our best and most knowledgeable wizards. And secondly, for being wise enough to NOT post a picture which would have destroyed the entire discussion before it started! And then later “pretending” to post a picture!!! How clever was that!!!
I also want to thank those of you who identified other items I never would have thought of to add to my Spyder. I’ve given the list to my wife and hinted how nice it would be if Santa could bring me the following for my Spyder:

    1. Romantic dimmer switch
    2. Kickstand
    3. Flux Capacitor
    4. Hydraulic LED muffler bearings
    5. Auxillary gas tank activation knob
    6. Seatbelt Adjuster
    7. Ding-Damper
    8. Kahooter
    9. Pernogerator
    10. Chizzywig
    11. Blivett
I can’t wait to see how many of these items show up under our tree on Christmas morning!!!

And the best part is that if she comes to me after Christmas and tells me I’ve been duped, all I have to say is………….

    wait for it…………

I have to tell you I laughed until I had tears in my eyes this morning. I was tying my shoes, just imagining BajaRon sitting in his office at home, staring at the screen and reading that post out loud and fast while MsBaja walks by and says, "isn't that the truth!". Like some scene from Everybody Loves Raymond or something.

Of course my wife just thought I was crazy. I never told her what I was laughing about. Priceless.

Oh boy, I copied and pasted this into an email, and sent it to a co-worker. He read it, and asks me what am I saying? I tell him to read it to me. He read it three times before I could not hold in the laugh anymore, and he realized what he was reading.

It certainly would have been great if that were truly the case, but my comments about the picture etc were actually as serious as my Christmas list!!!
