Rotating footpegs
Does anybody know a way to rotate the driver's footpegs on an RT? The factory musta thought the ryder would be sitting on the headlights. As they are now, my shoe only contacts the back edge of the footpeg. I asked the shop and they said the pegs were keyed into place and could not be rotated. True? (BTW, I normally like pegs and have never wanted boards.) Thanks.

They do have two bolts that hold it in place. You could take the lower bolt out but I'm not sure how much rotation you can get out of it without shimming the peg out a bit.

I have wondered the same thing. The pegs are backwards from how I would have put them on.

They are just right for me. Different strokes for different folks?

If you look at the foot pegs you will see there is rubber on the front of the peg rolling over the metal. When you get on or are riding you put force on the peg pushing the rubber away from the metal. I would think the rolled over rubber would be in the back.

My wife had a problem on her '10 RT when she first got it. She said she felt like she was riding downhill as the pegs seemed to angle downward.
I took them off and put the left on the right side and vice versa. I had a problem on the left side as the peg assembly needed to have a piece of metal removed to make it fit. A little grinding and it slipped into place. Be very careful of the bolts that hold the rubbers onto the pegs as they screw into very soft metal that is easy to strip. Thread them back in carefully and don't cross thread.
