New Home For Drift X170
I recently upgraded to the 2011 wind deflectors. (Thanks again Spydergirl)
This left me with the 2010 deflectors as extra. I decided to try to use the left deflector as a new mount for my Drift X170.
Here are two pics. One is of the beta version of the camera mount. If it works out I'll make something better, maybe even out of aluminum.
The other is the view from the X170 as the spyder sits in the garage. Nice coverage. The Drift has a remote control to operate the camera.
I should find out soon how well it works.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Here is a test video I took with the camera in its new location.
I like it.

Good Location and Nice camaera mount. The video quality looks great. How well does the remote work? Are you happy so far with the camera

Thanks so much, it's just a hunk of 2 X 4 that I cut with the right angle and then sanded and painted.
Yes, I like the camera. I have to be a little careful with the remote. It requires a firm press on the button to properly operate the remote. Think RT turn signal cancellation.
I don't even think you can buy this camera anymore. The newer version is HD and better quality video.. If I could afford it, I'd get the new camera. The remote was the key feature for me.
Yes, I'm pleased with the camera. Next, I'd like to try to mount it to my helmet. This is, after all, a HelmetCam.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.
