General cleaning question
Hi Everyone!
When I get my baby, Smurfette back from the shop, I want to make sure I really give her a good bath and cleaning. I have a good bike wash, and all the sponges, brushes and microfiber cloths I'll need. My question is, has anyone used Simple Green to clean their Spyders? If so, can it be used on body panels, and tires? Thanks for any advice, and as always Ryde Safe!

I use it but only on wheels to help brake up the grime on the wheel, especially the rear one. For the rest of the Spyder I just use a car soap and try to keep water away from the instrument cluster. In between washes I use the Maguires Quick Detailer with a micro fiber towel.
2007 M109R LE - To many MODS to list. Its cheaper that way!!!

I use the Can-Am Spyder spray wash, warm soft water , dry with microfiber towels, wax and detail with Turtle wax ice (leaves no white residue) , glass cleaner that is safe for lexan.

I use rain X carwash soap. seems to work well for me. Plexus
on the fender tips and dash plastics; and I also waxed the
wheels (makes it easier to clean brake dust off). I have
cleaned the tires with Simple Green once; but put a VERY
light coat of tire dressing on the afterwards. AND... I use
the exhaust blower on my shopvac to blow the water off
most of the places I can't get a towel into, when drying.
so far... it's worked for me. I also check tire pressures
each time I was the trike; which normally ends up being
about two weeks.
