    Default 12V Accessory Socket

I'm wanting to install a 12V socket somewhere in the front to run a gps. I'd like some ideas on where to mount and wire it in. Also where you purchased it. Thanks in advance.

See if any of these are applicable?

    Default Power outlet mounting

I placed mine on the left hand speaker screen near the lower corner. Worked well. Easy to access and did not have to drill any holes in the tupperware. The speaker screen can be easily/cheaply replaced if necessary. Purchased the BRP outlets online. I believe I got them for $10 each including shipping.

That's where mine are. too. Easy to remove the grills to drill the holes, and more room behind for the outlet and wiring than some other locations. I recommend the Powerlet (BMW-type) outlets. They hold the plug and maintain contact better than the cigarette style. You can obtain them directly from Powerlet, frome vendors like Eastern Beaver (if you also need a fuseblock or ready-made wiring), from the local BMW or other large bike shop, or from a variety of other vendors.
