    Default 08 RS Vibration

I've developed a vibration it's at it's worst from 5k to5500 in the pegs and hand grips. In 20 min of riding my right hand is numb. we can replicate it in any gear. We've checked tires, bearings, tire pressure, exhaust gasket, mounts, and the belt is running true. There's only 10k on the bike IMHO this is way too early for internal engine problems.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    thanks and ride safe

One of our sponsors (Smooth Spyder) has a product that helps with this...I am going to get it sooner or later...he sent me pics but not the actual directions...the pics don't look too bad but I have to see if I need a lending hand with the installation...that's why written directions are a must for simple folk like meself...I know that everyone who has one really loves it...this might be one of those 'have to have' products...

Maybe Jim will chime in here...

Check your front sprocket for spline wear and looseness. Was it retensioned and retorqued at 6K, as specified in the service bulletin? Also check rear wheel/sprocket bearings. Give the belt teeth a good inspection, too. Vibration in a certain rpm range is not uncommon, but sudden development of a vibration is an indicator of problems. If you can't figure it out, see your dealer.
