Sounds like fun but I also have plans...we should try to schedule a ride there a bit later in the month or September (fun distance and place to check out)
Last Sunday I did the Harley Museum then up to Port Washington and back down through South Kettel Moraine. It was in the 90's but going through the shaded park was a welcome relief.
Interesting reading! I am making a business trip to Brookfield WI the week of Aug-15-19. Meeting is only tue-thu but I am thinking of rYding my RT and heading up on Monday. I am going to google the route. If possible and not too far out of the way, I may do the Kettle route. I also plan to schedule my time so I can stop at Salamones Pizzeria in Cherry Hill IL.
The info you guys posted will be helpful. Cool the way that works out. Another reason to love SpyderLovers.com!
Could use some more info. Are you planing the Northern or southern Kettle Moraine? Also I'm guessing you mean this Saturday 8-6-11 Where do you plan on starting from and what time were you thinking?
Thanks
Looks like we will be running from Greenbush to Kewaskum. I think I'll meet Packbuckbrew in Chilton around 11. If you're thinking of riding south to north. I can easily turn around and ride it back.
I didn't even realize that there was a separate Northern unit of the Kettle Moraine. I usually think of the area around Eagle and Dousman. See we learn new things here.
Perhaps another weekend we can ride the south end.
Just got back for the Kettle Moraine ( the Northern, better part). Pretty fun ride. About 40 miles end to end. The very northern tip is awesome. 33 turns in 2.5 miles. All wooded. Would be really cool in fall. and I only got us lost once...twice...ok three times (sorry Joe). What's a few extra miles on the bike
If anyone makes it to N.E.W. Let me know. I'll ride that route all day.
On Sept 17 and Oct 15 we are riding along the Mississippi. Check the thread on the " 4 state ride". There was mention of the Kettle on Oct 29 but that has changed to a ride up in Door County.
