Alpine Stars Harlem Air Boot...full leather version. I ride to work every day, so it's perfect. I leave my nice work shoes in my office, and wear the boots to & from. They have zippers to remove them, so there's no messing with laces. Plus they give me full ankle protection and heat protection which I like.

Question: How many of us feel that even on a Spyder we should be thinking about protecting our feet from the unthinkable if something goes wrong??[/QUOTE]
I wear SPI "Fusion" They were on sale at a local powersports dealer . They are leather, have steel toes ,ankle protectors and have no heels as they are for sport bikes . They are also very easy to put on . They help stop ypour right foot from getting hot and I find them very comfortable as they fit my wide foot very well.
Since I am new to riding I wanted something that would help protect my feet in case of the unthinkable happens so these boots fit my criteria. For all my powersports activities I beleive in dressing in case the unthinkable happens. Just my humble opinion

Riding Shoes
Over the ankle hiking/work shoe. Looking for a cool boot I can afford. I like the Milwaukee or Dingo Boots just need to find a pair that fit my feet and wallet.
When I ride, I wear a full face helmet, long sleeve motorcycle jacket and jeans with gloves. The jacket is heavy mesh and without any liners is cool even here in Central Florida. I know the is very stable, but I've had my pieces parts for over sixty-eight years, and am real attached. I tend to ride as if every other vehicle on the road is out to get me.

I also wear the AXO "striker" riding boot ... comfortable ... easy on and off

I have worn Cruiser Works motorcycle boots for years on the 2 wheeler. They are comfortable to walk in and are waterproof. Protection of feet and ankles is important. Also any skin exposed on legs and arms has potential for road rash. We never get up saying I'm going to crash today - it just comes so do all you can to put odds in your favor by dressing properly and using a helmet. Hot weather invites the idea to wear less and be more comfortable. WRONG!!

Wear same boots on the spyder as I do on my bikes. Alpinestars Goretex, awesome boots.

Is that b/c you feel accidents don't happen close to home? Just curious. I've heard this before about gearing up and how far someone is going.

Do the Crocs get hot? I've been wearing tennis shoes, and I thought my feet would melt last Thursday. I do not like southern Texas summers.

Well, I purchased a pair of ICON Tarmac Vented boots. They are low rise laceless boots that go slightly above the ankles. Very comfortable. Very good ankle support. These are not Herman Munster boots. Maybe, more like Little Eddie Munster. Just kidding. Not bad looking really. Slip right on and strap down with two velcro straps. I would compare them to hiking boots. So now if they ever have to bury me, at least my feet will look good.

ATGATT for me even if it's just around the corner. The close range runs are when stuff happens, so they say. Besides, it's a promise I made to my Wife when I started this whole adventure and it is one I shall keep. Risk management is something I take pretty seriously.
For boots, I just burned through some Cortech Solutions and am currently wearning Axo Primato II and Built Track Stars, depending on what mood I'm in. Besides, it's nice to have one pair airing while the other pair you are "wairing"!

On cooler days, WP Solutions boots. Maybe not as comfy as top of the line but a great waterproof boot. On hot days, Merrill waterproof boots. Ankle high, rather comfy and with a pair of wicking socks, great.
