I've had this happen multiple times, for me it was the brake cable jumping off the cam up front. Others on the board have reported the same thing.
if when you engage the break you can hear the electric motor kick in, then it may be the same thing. To fix it will require taking off some of the plastic on the right side and can be done with only the tools that are under the seat. Will have to get the long piece off (the piece is above the foot pegs), the lower panel where the hot air exits the engine area. Will have to loosen, but not remove, the panel above that. It will be pretty clear if the cable has popped off.
here's another thread with some pictures

If when you engage the break you hear nothing at all, or you can see the rear break cam moving, then it's probably something different.
Looks like the closest dealer is in Albuquerque.

Oil
Sometimes all you need is a little WD-40 or lube sprayed on the working components.

On the RT-S SE5, what happens when the cable comes off? Is the brake locked on and you can not move the machine or can you not lock the brake when parked?

Thanks, Lamont. I learn something here every day.
