RT Saddle Bag suitcases...
Can anyone give me the external dimensions for the Can-Am suitcases (aka Soft Side Cargo Travel Bags) that fit the saddle bags. Not that the Can-Am price (for two) is that outlandish, just thought that if I have the measurements I might stumble upon a deal somewhere.

I got a deal on a set of BRP soft bags for the saddles, which I like for touring… but I had an old set from my GL1500, which worked just fine, I also has some old mini-duffles that were give-aways at a trade show, which worked, but didn't fully fill the saddlebags….

Freebob,
In checking the specs on the HSL-Liners it shows they are 20" long. Is there a lot of excess when fitting them in so that you would have to be careful when packing them to not fill them too full?
Also it says they are 5.5" wide and there is approx 10" on the right side bag. Do you think 2 would fit in on that side?
How does the left side fit with that battery space useing some area up?
Thanks -- Looking to get a set, but I want to get the closest fit. BRP overpriced!!!

I have been thinking about these, seem to be close to perfect @L-14"/H-10"/D-9" ... $60 plus ship. How much are Can Ams soft bags ? Have just a hair under 9"D on bottom of left case when opened

Yup just found the can am soft bags on their web site. $55. Wonder why they made them only 6" deep as posted above. Seems the 9" BMW bags would carry more and fit better ???? But it would be nice to find some kind of servicable bag for $10-15, if ya know what I mean.

Don't know why but that should leave just enough space for raingear in separate bag(s) ;-)

Got the can am bags...whatever I can stuff in them, know they will fit just perfectly. That way don't have to unpack because I used a bag that wasn't designed for my RT..and then decide what to eliminate ... figured for me it was waaaaay cheaper to buy a set of bags that controlled my
stuff...then buying that trailer to take alllll the stuff I feel "must go with"...

Keep in mind,,, the dept of your two saddle bags is not the same!! One is a few inches deeper (or thicker if you prefer) than the other.

Thanks for the info I had not realized this ,just picked them up this morning and here they are :
The bag for the frunk is a tight fit so you will not be able to too much stuff in it so that leaves out the kitchen sink ,everything else should fit
The quality of the bags are good but the zippers are not heavy duty , I would like to see heavy duty zippers like on jackets.
