    Status of 10 year Anniversary Ride (America's 9/11 Ride):
    Planning for the 10th anniversary of September 11th is currently underway. We believe this will be our largest ride ever. Registration and Hotels are online for this historic event. The Ride is limited to the first 2996 people, one for each person lost that tragic day. We already have more than 2200 people registered. Invite some friends. Build a TEAM!


    A new Look and Feel to the Ride website is out for testing

    The foundation has a full time person answering the phones from now until the ride
    9am-4pm (Mon-Fri)

    Upcoming Events:
    Our Facebook page has now a calendar of events. Check out the upcoming events some our riders are hosting to raise sponsorship funds for the foundation. If you have an event to add, email Christa@americas911foundation.org with the details of your event to add.
    JoBoy's Brew Pub in Manheim PA, has agreed to host a benefit night to support the foundation. They have chosen Wednesday, May 25th from 4-10. The husband and wife owners Jeff and Jo started out doing BBQ competitions and this is their first venture into the restaurant business. With a competition background they have done very well with giving people just what we need, good BBQ! They brew their own beer and have amazing specialty wines. The Margarita wine is awesome!
    The night of the dinner we will have information available for the foundation and the ride. Our jars will be on the bar for people to donate and at the end of the night Joboy's will donate 10% of their food sales to the foundation.

    The foundation has some great enteriment for you this year:
    Somerset, PA Donnie Iris will be playing in Somerset. Services at the memorial site all depend on memorial sites completion. If not we will do presentation in Somerset and deliver the wreath Friday morning as we travel past.
    Arlington, VA - we have signed up a well known country artist to perform. We cannot state who this is until July 18th as the contract states, but we are bringing in a full stage and closing down the street. We have met with Arlington County and all paperwork is in process for this great event. We plan on having a street fair type of event with many different food vendors. We are working with the artist to have a meet and greet with the rides VIP's (people who raise $1,500 and more) so get going, what are you waiting for get you sponsorship page going.
    The board is thinking about having the Saturday ending events in Linden NJ. Doing this will allow participants to enjoy the city once we arrive and then regroup at 830am for procession to the World Trade Center and services there.
    The template for you to customize is out there under http://www.americas911ride.org/Spons.../skeleton.html cut and paste the entire page with your personlized changes into an email and we will get it in the site quickly. This way you can send your personnal link to your friends and get them to sponsor you.

    2010 audit shows the foundation pgms receiving 89.5% of funds!
    Starting places - there are lots of new startling locations heading to Somerset check out the starting location to get involved with a group riding into Somerset together. Would you be willing to lead a group in from your area to Somerset? - If so please email Christa@americas911foundation with that information.

    Hotel Room sharing page is on our site, if you are interested we need your Email Address, Name, Please state if you would like to share with Male or Female and what hotel(s) your are looking to share with someone. Please send this information to Christa@americas911foundation.
    EMail notifications and ride specific updates will start being sent out the first week of June, July, August to those signed up.
    Special Bus Service for the 10 Year Anniversary Ride
    Want to Ride with the Pack to honor and remember the Fallen Heroes, Volunteers, and Victims on September 11, 2001 and since, but don’t have a motorcycle, can’t ride, or just want to bring someone along to share the experience? No worries my friend. Check out the website for more info.

    How to raise awareness and donations:
    Contact your local Radio Stations and let them know about the ride
    and the dates, ask them to let the listeners know!! - your calls do make a difference!

    Specialized T-Shirts for FIRE, EMS and Police
    The foundation is has gotten a few Never forget T-shirts in Red FD logo on the left chest. These shirts are availalbe for Fire/EMS or Police departments (PD shirts would be in dark blue)to raise funds for themselves and the foundation. Contact ted@americas911foundation.org for more information on the great fund raiser for your department and the foundation. 72 shirts are only $16.00 each and you can sell them for $20-25 making money for your department and the foundation. - School and others are welcome to join in this fund raising opportunity.
    Dont forget we can customize your polo shirts with Riding in Memory of.
    POLO's for 2011 will allow you to to choose the name of someone who perished on 9/11 or someone from your own choosing and have them embroidered on the sleeve of your ride polo shirt, “Riding in Memory of Michael Judge” for example.
    Donation JARS:
    An easy way to increase your sponsorships! Are you working on raising personal sponsorship? The Foundation has donation jars that you can place in business locations throughout your area (like at 7/11's, gas stations, mini-marts, or larger stores). Email Lisa@americas911foundation.org if you would like some donation jars mailed to you.

    Did this the last two years, first time both of us on the Ultra. Last year the Ultra and the Spyder. Ours was the only Spyder and the first to do this event,there were two Stallions though. This was a great ride with super organizers and participants!
    This year it should be even better, but I think we're passing as the number of bikes may make it very interesting to say the least.

    Glad some spyders will be there! Should be a memorable year considering we finally got that SOB!

    Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
    Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
    Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
    Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!
