    How many spyders have had the rear bracket break and replaced and had it done under waranty.

    Mine broke-- could have had them replaced but never did--- removed them for good.

    Yeah, but I bet it looks cool as !! I have been on the fence on doing this for a while now but I am slowly tilting toward fender removal. So no more brackets to worry about OR that stupid license plate light to have to replace every few months!

    dltang's had hers fixed under warranty three times and I fixed it twice more because we didn't feel like riding 45 minutes to the dealer and leaving it for a day or two. Some of the repairs were to the bracket mounting tabs on the swingarm. The sixth and last time, we just removed the fender. Mine was fixed twice under warranty and once by me before I ended up removing the fender all together. I attribute our rear fender problems to the rough roads in our area.

    I think they may also be HULIGAN related-----

    Maintenance is MUCH easier with the fender and brackets removed too...

    Specifically Genesee county. I think we have some of the worst main roads in the US. Potholes are repaired by throwing some tar in them making a 4 - 6 inch hole a 2 inch hill. Then in the winter, plow trucks catch that tar mix and tear it out along with some more base road material. Then they refill it in the summer making bigger expanses of rough road. Some roads have been stuck in that cycle for over 10 years now, just getting rougher and rougher.

    Default Rear fender brackets replaced under warranty...

    At about 35,000 miles I had my cracked rear fender brackets replaced. This was the first test of my Western Service Contract extended warranty and they covered it without any hassle at all.

    Both brackets had splits and were replaced under warranty last year. Just recently, the tab on the swingarm broke off. BRP offered 1 hour labor to fix.

    I just had my third set replaced under warranty. I go through a set about every 10000 km.

    I'd rather see a redesigned set come out to fix the problem, but I guess having them replaced for 'free' is better than nothing.

    Cheers;

    Pogo.

    Brp replaced whole swing arm when that tab broke on my spyder.
    I had bracket replaced also and it is just starting to showing cracks again after 25k on new ones.

    The bracket on the swing arm of mine broke which lead to the breakage of the fender braces. Both the braces and the swing arm were replaced under warranty at about 18K miles.
