Looks like they have Santa pretty well protected against enemies with the razor wire fence! Pity the fool that tries to mess with Santa that would be really bad Karma.

Actually slept very well in the tent. It was the next morning tearing the tent down that was a drama. Everything is dried out now and back in the trailer.

    Perspective is everything.

Riding is very relaxing for me. Once I get in the saddle, the world is all right.

    Thanks for the bump!

We're in Watson Lake heading south on the AK Highway towards Jasper. Might take us a couple days to get there though.

    We'll be looking for you!

Default Whitehorse to Watson Lake, Yulkon Territory

Sing praises to electric underwear! High was 50 degrees F, low was 38 F. Drizzle for most of the day. Stayed toasty warm all the way!

Teslin's gas station line. People share weather and road conditions here.

Watson Lake - The Sign Post Forest. Over 71,000 people from around the world have left their sign here. Very cool!

Guess crossing fingers helps. Today was our favorite ride yet!

Went down roads like this. What you don't see, because on a Spyder its not safe to stop, were all the critters! Black bears munching on grass or watching the traffic go by. Bison grazing next to the road. We rode within five feet of them and they acted like we weren't there. They were Big! Mule deer stomping their feet at the forest's edge. Shy caribou flitting away from the the road. This was their territory and we were just passing through...

We headed up into the mountains.

The scenes were so breathtaking! Can only be experienced from a Spyder. So many awesome sights!

Coming out of the mountains was a roller coaster twisty road. Too much fun!

We thought today was great, but something happened that made it perfect! We were checking out the hotels in Fort Nelson...

    Do you remember this post?

That is an awesome ending to the day, though I must admit I would have liked to see at least 1 picture of a wild animal. Better for you to be safe than sorry though.

Still working on getting a picture of a wild animal. Its tricky on a Spyder. In a car, its too easy! With wild bears, if they have cubs, they get away from you quick. If they don't have cubs, they might think you're road kill. Not good. The bison on the other hand, can get grumpy fast. Not even cars stop to take their pictures. Deer and moose run out in front of you. Dealing with the breaks instead of the camera.

Tomorrow we should be seeing some Big Horn Sheep. Heard they are as complacent about traffic as the bison, but not as damaging to your vehicle.

That was the wildest thing! Though we would meet along the road at a gas station or something. Dave and Helga had spotted us trolling through Fort Nelson. When we got out of the hotel, what a nice surprise to meet them out by Spydee. Great people! The more you get around, the smaller the world gets.

I like the State Farm insurance commercial with the guys in the car when the Bison decides to investigate. I can understand why you wouldn't want that to happen while on your Spyder.

Default Fort Nelson to Dawson's Creek, B.C.

The scenery and roads was great coming down except no wild critters today. Mostly like the forest / grassy road in the picture earlier. The only difference was we were in and out of rain showers. Not heavy enough to put on the rain gear, we would dry out before the next shower hit. Just enough to keep us heading down the road efficiently.

It started looking dry again 50 miles before Dawson's Creek. The forest is changing to farm land.

The bottom of The Alaskan Highway.

Looks like the forcast is getting better the further south we get.

Almost 8,000 miles that's fantastic. I have a funny video of our encounter with bison in Yellowstone but there are a few expletives that I can't delete so I won't share it. We were in bumper to bumper traffic and the bison wanted to get to the other side of the road. They get what they want!

So true. I look forward to your posts and pictures every day. This is what owning a Spyder is all about. Following your dreams for a trip of a lifetime. I, for one, would love to see BRP give recognition to ryders that have accomplished and posted up trips like this and Dudleys. Maybe something for them to do at Maggie Valley........
