    Default To Alaska and Back...

    Hidee Ho Y'all,

First day on the road and we are on the Arkansas side of Texarkana. Trust me, that is the side of town, if you are a beverage inbiber, you want to be.

The day started off slow with finding out the trailer's lights don't work. Tracked the power with a multi-meter and found out there is power to the lights. Just don't know why the lights don't work. We added the multi-meter to the road tools. Good thing I'm in the lead till Cuba. That way Hubby is behind me and can signal the cars behind. Its the bike without lights is in the middle of the pack routine. Sure some of y'all have done that before...

Between trying to figure out the lights and getting so many well wishes from the neighbors, (did I tell you one neighbor is going to excercise our other bikes while we're gone?) we were on the road by 10:00. Not too bad considering we were shooting for 9:00.

Oh yeah, got a haircut that will last three months.

Tomorrow, the Pigs Trail, Mount Magazine, then spending the night at the Bikers Rest in Eureka Springs.

I just finished re-reading this travel blog from Yazz and their trip from Texas to Alaska and beyond. This is one of the best blogs I have seen on Spyder Lovers. The pictures are totally worth seeing, even though the blog is now 10 years old.

We met up with Yazz again this year when we went to the Hot Springs Spyder Rally in Arkansas. We did another half day ride one more time. It was great to see our friend from the past.
