    Default Found a New Road

Double Island Road - about 7 miles west of Spruce Pine off of Hwy 19E. Believe me folks, I've rode the Dragon, Devil's Staircase and Diamondback, but this one WILL challenge you. It's only about 12 or 13 miles long, but it's wicked.

In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God. God looked down upon Ireland and said "Damn, I'm good!"

To paraphrase the late Peter Sellers, it's not my Spyder

This is definitely a road that I will do many more times. Highway 261 going south from Roan Mountain is also excellent.
