Please help, what is the best tire pressure?
What have you found to be the best tire presures for the Se5, stock tires, 240 pound single rider?

You need to find the best pressure for your spring settings, weight, style of riding, etc. For most of us, 18-20 front & 28-30 rear seems to be a good place to start with stock tires. It will make a big difference in cornering when you raise the fronts above the BRP recommendations. I think you will like it! I would not recommend running too high in the front, even though they are rated for 30 psi. Also, I would not recommend running below the 15 psi minimum printed on the front tire sidewalls. Remember, tire pressures are to be checked cold...no matter what Kenda says.

Tire pressures, like revenge, is a dish best served... COLD!! Scotty, that was my conveluted way of agreeing with you!
BTW, a pretty good link regarding tire pressures. I think you'll find a pretty mixed bag of ideas and opinions on this matter...

Around 17 fronts and 26 rear works great for me.....
Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Is anyone using "TireGard" for monitoring tire pressure? They are expensive but I have seen a wide range of prices, from $179 to $279 for the Trike version.

I've got the Trike Tireguards. Little diagram is backwards but I think its a great gizmo. The other night the little alarm went off because my rear pressure was too low. That's a nice feature.

What about concerns that the plastic will bend/break with the added weight from the monitor on the stem, causing a major issue?

The sensors are very light and I have never had a problem. I was not aware of any issue until you mentioned it.

I checked some other boards and some have had tire blowouts due to the stem breaking...I think there is some concern with this but I'd figure we'd be better off as our tires don't lean, thus changing forces on the stem all the time?

I read somewhere that to avoid stem breakage you should change over to medal stems.

I tried them on a GS and found they throw the balance off..after removing the sensors the wheels had much less bounce and is much more smooth.

But that is a pretty cool-looking thing! I've got a buddy with a Tri-Glide and I'm going to have to see if I can get him to part with some coin for one of them...

I ran over 250 mi with them on my RT this weekend, speeds up to 85 and never felt any different than before. I sure like them. Being able to also see the tire temp is interesting also.

I run the same pressures as you. I weigh 178#.
I had a vibration from 55 mph -62 mph whether I was in 3rd, 4th, or 5th; I have an SM5. So, I set the pressures back up to 20 fronts and 30 rear and the vibration seems to have just about disappeared.

Anybody calibrate their Air Gages, I have 3 different gages that show 3 different readings,
So for the last 3 years i just stick with one and guess.?

Pencil type air gauges are unreliable. I use a Moroso dial type with a bleed off button.

The gage that came with my Spyder, Reads = 19
Brookstone Precision=15.5
Acme= 20,
I Only use the pencil type to scratch my back.
The Brookstone and Acme are bleed type.
