Congrats and welcome. You will find there are some great Spyderlovers right here in MI. My husband, bjt and I live in Grand Blanc. We ride quite a bit. We are headed to Spyderfest in April and making a week of it. Then in June we are planning on the BRP event in Maggie Valley. I am sure we will try to get a long weekend Michigan ride going at some time in the summer as well. The tunnel of trees up north is fantastic.
With Christ all things are possible, so live life with no fears and no worries.
Happy Ex Owner, Hopefully future Spyder owner again.

Deb, glad to hear you guys will make Maggie Valley. Nancy and I will be there, but we don't know if it will be one Spyder or two yet. I hope there will be a bunch of Michigan ryders going. Sorry we can't make Spyderfest. (Please excuse the hijacking. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.)

We've also done the Air Zoo (followed by BBQ at my house). They have done a Tunnel of Trees ride, and a UP ride. Deb has been the main instigator. Maybe we need to start a thread of suggestions for interesting Michigan destinations.

I think you will find this site to be the best place to meet wonderful people and a wealth of information about your new toy. I too purchased my spyder at Ray C's of Lapeer. fantastic dealership and great service for my spyder last two years. They also service my Harley tri Glide ultra.
Scotty, Deb
Last year we did the tunnel of trees from Petoskey and was a beautiful weekend with about a dozen wonderful people from Michigan. At the end of that trip, we discussed the possibility of doing a similar weekend starting in my neck of the woods, Port Huron. We could follow M-25 along lake Huron and visit a few lighthouses along the way. We can also on the following day go south on M-25, through Marine City, Algonac and hit a couple nice dining spots. I can also explore other routes in this vicinity. The Thomas Edison Hotel by the Blue water bridge is a nice hotel to stay and fairly reasonable. Open to other ideas and locations.
