Right now we are 168 days away and we have over 100 folks signed up for this event in a little over 48 hours. I know that the Spyderfest crew has been working hard to make this a special event for you all. I'm excited to see the new folks that have said they are planing to go, you're going to love it.
You might want to let your local dealers know about the event too seeing this is a good thing to point their new Spyder customers to. This is truly a grassroots event that has the potential of being one of the best events of the year with your help and attendance. Thank you all for your participation.

Hey, wonder if some could point
As i am on the list to attend the spyderfest in 2011. Doing a google map i see 3 possible ways for me to travel on the spyder. 1. is heading out I 80E from sacramento via Reno (1952 Miles) and over, 2. I 80E to I 70E (2002 Miles) and 3. is I 40E (2040 Miles). In your opinions which would be the best route weather wise that time of year.

I would think that staying on the southern route would probably be best with a smaller chance of running into bad weather.

From Wikipedia - Your Educational Moment!
There are several theories about the origin of the word hooliganism. It may originate from the surname of a fictional rowdy Irish family in a song of the 1890s.
Clarence Rooks, in his 1899 book, Hooligan Nights, claimed that the word came from Patrick Hoolihan (or Hooligan), an Irish bouncer and thief who lived in the London borough of Southwark.
Another writer, Earnest Weekley, wrote in his 1912 book Romance of Words, "The original hooligans were a spirited Irish family of that name whose proceedings enlivened the drab monotony of life in Southwark, 1890's.
There have also been references made to a 19th century rural Irish family with the surname Houlihan who were known for their wild lifestyle, then later evolving into O'Holohan. Another theory is that the term came from a street gang in Islington named Hooley.
Yet another theory is that the term is based on an Irish word, houlie, which means a wild, spirited party.
So I am quite confused as I did not know Doc was Irish! Just goes to show you learn something new every day!
