I have tried two different Walmarts, and neither one knew what I was talking about.
Very bummed.

Just purchased a red one from our local (Coralville, Iowa) Walmart last week. Early Christmas gift, and a way to help the Spyder withdrawal as we enter winter.
Happy Former-Spyder owner!

I have not charged mine up yet . . . . .
. . . but, I think it is a great model - they really got the proportions and details right.
I have a model of a 1948 Indian motorcycle - just like my grandfather had - and I am pretty sure they are the same scale - they will be parked together soon.
Tom
( my Walmart still has about 8 of them )

The story goes, he got it "brand new" with less than 10 miles on it after the new owner crashed it on his first ride. That was 1948, and he was busy getting it into his shop, so he missed me being born at the hospital.
Personally, I always thought he had his priorities very straight. And besides, when I was old enough, he let me ride it - occasionally. That was some honor, since he didn't let anyone else ride it - ever.
Sometime in the late 60's ( being ancient, you remember those times, huh? ) while I was at WMU, the Indian's internal combustion engine "reversed" and the bike burst into flames and the bike was totaled - but not the good memories.
But, back to topic - the details and accuracy of this Spyder RC Model is excellent - I am impressed. ( even the tire treads are right )
And I am glad to see Brevet05 back on his Army Spyder. I still think that was one of the best paint mods I have seen - it was just the perfect combination of bike and rider.

Let's just say that the original rider didn't come off without a struggle, but he did come off. Any resemblance to either a full-scale spyder or its former rider is purely intentional! My wife will assure you, though, that GI Joe I ain't.
