    Default Intro

Hey y'all! Decided it was about time I introduced myself!

I decided after Rolling Thunder this year that I wanted a bike but, never having ridden before, I wanted three wheels. Wasn't interested in two wheel riding. My husband was first surprised and then excited that I wanted a bike since I would never ride with him. Two nights later I saw a Spyder commercial and we went shopping the next day! Left the dealership a new Spyder RT-S owner! Woo Hoo!! That was in June. Didn't get to take my first ride until the end of July though, since I spent a month in San Diego helping out my daughter with some 'Grandma Day Care'.

I got my learner's permit the first of Aug and by the end of Aug I think hubby may have been regretting that I got a bike! Every night after work he had to take me out to practice! He'd come home and ask, 'where are we going tonight?' lol

I got my 'real' license thirty days later and now have almost 4700 miles on it! I've been on it every day until recently due to weather. I finally pulled it out today and rode even though we were having snow flurries. Just had to! My husband thought I was nuts. He won't ride his right now cause of 'all the crud on the roads.' (salt) He did ride along as my passenger though.

I joined the American Legion Riders and Honor Guard and have done a lot of rides with them. Awesome fun!

Well, sorry to talk your ear off so in closing I'll just say that I'm looking forward to Lamonster's BBQ next year as well as the Maggie Valley event! I would love to go to the Cuba event, but my husband only has so much vacation time!

welcome & I am a new Spyder Rts owner and also a new rider too. I just got my motorcycle liscence this past July but I have not had the pleasure of riding my new spyder yet as I bought it when our riding season was over. I can hardly wait for spring so I can try out my new ride.

welcome & on the new RTS. Thats the way to jump in with both feet! I just started riding this spring and just don't want to get off for the winter yet. Still riding between snow storms and down to 15 deg. Many friends think I'm nuts but I still get thumbs up too from other drivers. Keep on riding and keep safe.

    welcome
I'm a new GS owner. Same thoughts as you - I want more than 2 wheels under me. I just totally love ridin' the Spyder. Road conditions aren't great right now, so haven't ridden in a while. The ridin' experience is in my blood. I'm having involuntary withdrawal.

Great group of folks here on SpyderLovers Anything you want or need to know, rest assured that a bunch of them will offer advice and expertise.

    Enjoy your new "transportation tool."

    Default Congrats!!!

    Welcome 2WCKED.
Glad to hear you got your ride and are having fun. We here on Spyderlovers.com know why you are riding.... even in the snow and less than ideal conditions. It's just too much fun to leave sitting around. Congrats again. Jerry

, I was 60 when I got my first bike ever (a honda 250 scooter), moved up quickly to a Honda 600 Silverwing and then saw a Spyder RS SE5. The rest is a love story between man and machine. Now dreaming of a 2011 RT. Nothing great happens until it starts as a dream. Mine became a new caree. Enjoy yours.
