I got the amber after I saw them on photos that DAVE01 posted. I feel they define the front of the Spyder. The amber are also a little cheaper.
Thanks Jim - a.k.a. SpyderRider

One of mine burned out, so I went into a truck stop and got 2 white long life with a number 97. They are considerably brighter than the stock. Why LL, they last a lot longer

I have white and they are very bright. They match the white LED's that are mounted lower front.

fender LED
I got the amber but I think the original white bulb was a lot brighter and covered a larger area. I could look down from the seat and see that the white bulb was on but I can't see the amber bulb.

went cheap for trial ... ordered last night from ebay the 5 LED 194 size bulbs for $1.50 shipped each
i figure if they don't work only cost $3 to try out.
they have 4 LED around outside an e one pointed straight out top of bulb so should light the fender tip brightly from all angles.
went with white as looking at the spec you get more lumen output from the white bulbs then the amber
