ESI has a great "cap" for the plastic "fins". I have a couple of friends with those & they rave about them.

Only problem with using the "plastic fins" is that your right leg gets pretty warm, even with boots on. Without boots the right side is just about unusable.

I am not sure that those "Scuff Guards" for those "wind wings" can take much weight on them.

You can also check out Seal Floorboards, I liked their prototype.

I bought the KewMetal highway peg mounts. They are very rugged and come with 2" and 3" extentions on the RT kits. Mine ended up just flush to the top of the plastic air deflectors. The only thing I was dissapointed with is that they come primed. I wish they were powder coated black. I didn't have time to send mine out at the time due to leaving on a trip the next day. Winter project.

Dont stand on them and you will have no problems. I have had mine on for quite a while with no issues. Plus, its comfortable on the highway too.

I have the scuff guards, and while the heat on the right side did bother me a couple of times, for the most part they're fine. I do get a little concerned about their "strength", but after several uses with my beefy legs - no problems.
