    Default MY11 Spyder Lineup

UPDATE- It's now posted on the BRP site too. Click Here

We have been given the privilege here at SpyderLovers.com to have a sneak peak of the 2011 Spyder Lineup.

There have been some pretty cool color changes that really make the Spyder pop and you'll notice there's a lot more painted to match parts. The Spyder already looks like a custom build and now with the new paint for 2011 it brings the Spyder RS to a whole new level. I got to tell you I love what they did here.
    2011 RS Spec. Sheet

This is the Alloy Orange Metallic/ Matte Black, one of the new Bad Boys in town.

I'm digging this RS too. It's Pure Magnesium Metallic/ Steel Black Metallic.

Notice anything else that has changed?

I never though the vibration was too bad on the RS but this year they gave the RS the same treatment as the RT.

The RT lineup added a few new colors and some tweaks to the existing package. There is now a Pure Magnesium Metallic, Viper Red and a Limited Edition Pearl White.
    2011 RT Spec. Sheet

There is a new calibration of the for the front suspension too.

There has been some tweaks to the air management too.

All this will be posted on the BRP website but you saw it here first on SpyderLovers.com

I agree, the RS got some great styling updates. I'll have to look at the RT spec sheet, but I don't see much from our wish list on first glance. Still, gotta be encouraged that BRP remains committed to improving the machine. Now, if they can convince more dealers to put their staffs through training and stay abreast of the changes, we'll really have something.

Thanks for the sneak peak Lamont .

Ok Lamont what did they add/change here?

"Easy open trunk with ONE hand"
Did they add a spring or similar in the trunk for 2011?

"Also added on all 2011 RS models is an easy opening front storage compartment--basicially a spring assisted latch that allows for one hand opening of the front storage compartment both while the motor is running and shut off."

Wondering how that works while engine is on.

    Cool.

They blacked the handlebars, pegs and brackets and rims including the rear wheel.

A big change to all 2011 RS models is the addition of the anti-vibration system borrowed from the Spyder RT. New RS machines will have an additional linkage rod and improved rubber mounts that will provide reduced vibration in the handlebars and footpegs to improve the rider experience.

Is the anti-vibration system going to be available to install on previous RS models? If so, looks like an extensive job.

Now hoping that these RT parts (shocks & windshield) interchange. Buying a windshield from BRP is less expensive than ESI. Purchased one for my RT after hitting a large bird for less than $250. sure cheaper than ESI at $350 or so. Also wondering is "vibration" dampening system on RS would benefit RT and if it would bolt on. Great new colors but I still like my timeless black. THANKS LAMONT FOR THE SNEAK PREVIEW

Looks like yellow, red, silver, blue is gone. Kinda sucks for the guys that bought the RS-S Limited last year since it's just a regular colour now.

Nice colors! That white RT is beautiful.

I'm happy they didn't change too much stuff up. My 08 SM5 is still relevant!

I too hope RT parts interchange! Hate to go out and have to buy a brand new RT just for a few items. Fingers crossed!

The anti vibration update is from the RT, you already have it.
