silver surfer let me know which K^N Filter model you find will fit the RT.

do they make one yet? I assume the rt filter is the same as the RS spyders.

I use my for my daily commute to work. My range is about 160 after break in period. I figure Im getting around 30 mpg here.... some city, most highway, one up @ about 65 mph.... still playing with the highway speeds to see where best economy is.... only logged 2500 miles so far.
Its still better than my truck.

Please post the K&N information once you get it. I use K&N on my Supercharged Ford F-150 and it made a huge difference!

No need to wait for a K&N performance filter. ESI has a Green Filter to fit the RT.

Green is same as K & N, clean it let dry and reoil. I have used it in my AMG cars and other bikes and find it works well.

did near 6000mls/10.000kms now feel that she needs10% less than on the beginning - but i use a smaller windshield (no flaps under themirror)
the differenz between autobahn/highway 90-100 mls/hour or cruising on the coast is around the double !!
with one fill--up i reach sometimes not more than 100mls..

Default RE: K&N Air Filter for RT

Seems to be some confusion out there. The part I'm using is PART# 018-CM-9908. As to it's application between RS and RT platforms, check http://www.extremekempy.com/shop/ind...t_detail&p=942.

    Best regards,

    Paul

I can't tell you about the K&N, but both the original BRP filter and the Green Filter use different part numbers for the different models. I would be very careful about swapping between them!

I have the Green Filter and 9200 miles recorded and am currently averaging between 28 and 31 mpg. I drive hard and the more miles I put on the better the mpg.

500 miles averaging about 30 miles per gallon. confirmed the fuel gauge is off. this is for RT-S manual model SM5. using 93 octane gas and 50% highway and 50% 45-50 mph back roads.

still have to do 600 mile service...

Default Yup ... Can't Trust Vendors

Per LAMONSTERS comments above and to my chagrin today, I now stand b***h-slapped with having an incorrect air filter part. Embarrassing. The vendors are vague ... and then when you find one that has a specific reference, it's wrong, and no one really helps. People probably don't offer much help because if they do and they're wrong ... *

I'll just keep my original on until next service.

bummer ... would love to have K&N filter. I messaged them via the search engine. when you select RT it says click here to let us know if you want a filter for this bike

dont want to keep two different cleaners and oilers for filters, plus waiting to save up some $$ and get a full exhaust upgrade then do filter and DynoJet controller at one time
