    Default conversion measurements

    I have an older gates sonic tension meter. the meter reads the weight/mass in gf/cm2. the measurement the the service bulleten gives is in g/m. Can somebody convert 8.4 g/m into gf/cm2.

    Default Belt tension

    Does anyone know what the correct reading would be for the Cricket II I believe it reads in Pounds?

    I have mine set at 135 and it seems tobe working well

    There is a complete confusion of units as there is no conversion possible.
    If, however, the service bullitin meant g/M2 then you would give you 84000 on the Gates meter.
    I suspect that the two meters are actually measuring different things so no direct conversion is possible

    The service bulliten is giving g/m. The gates is asking gf/cm2.

    "This does not compute, Will Robinson."

    g/m is measure of torque, such as lb*ft or ft*lb..
    gf/m^2 is a pressure value, such as psi.

    The two are incompatible for direct conversion.

    Well heres a pic of my machine and what its asking incase I got it wrong. Its asking me to input a weight here, but I only have a calculation of 8.4 g/m into gf/cm2.
